The site was created 4 1/2 years ago as a service to the community. It  is maintained by Eric Madrid MD , a family doctor in Temecula, CA. ( www.ranchofamilymed.com ) and his wife Whanda who operates www.eHealthSupplies.com .  Whanda has her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Health Care Administration  and she is a law student at the University of Aristotle College of Law-Temecula. Eric Madrid is a graduate from UCLA and Ohio State University School of Medicine and practices as a Family Physician.  Eric and Whanda do this site in their spare time as a service to the community of Menifee.

Dr. Madrid, goes to Hinche, Haiti (with other Physicians through the Haiti Endowment Fund) and provides free healthcare and medicines to the impoverished once a year. In 2007,  Eric Madrid (chairperson) and Whanda Brown Madrid (Sponsorship Chair)  helped organize and participated  in the 2nd annual Relay for Life in Menifee, which raised money for the American Cancer Society. They were also involved in the 3rd Annual Relay which raised over $20,000 for the American Cancer Society. The 4th relay will be May 30, 31st of 2009 and they are participating and forming teams to help raise more than the previous years.

Eric and Whanda currently are on the school site council committee for SouthShore Elementary. Whanda is actively involved with the PTA and volunteers as team mom with her kids sports activities.  They also run the City of Menifee Facebook account which has over 1000 residents. 

They feel it is their civic duty as new Menifee residents to inform future residents about the community by listing information on schools, daycares, health care facilities, real estate, crime rates and much more. This information was not readily available on any sites in 2005.

Menifee24/7 created by Steve Johnson, was the only community blog that informed residents about Menifee news. Eric also blogs on the site. When  Eric and Whanda  moved to Menifee they searched various sites to  find pertinent information pertaining to Menifee businesses, schools and shopping. It  was time consuming and sometimes difficult to find. So they created cityofmenifee.com  to provide this information so others would not have to encounter this.

They  are happy and proud  to know that they have helped so many  living in this great city.  They have received over thousand plus emails from people living in Menifee and people wanting to make Menifee their home. Eric and Whanda allow people to advertise their business for free. They  are here to help Menifee grow, to inform and share news.

The City of Menifee is located in southwestern Riverside County approximately 30 miles southeast of the City of Riverside. The city encompasses approximately 50 square miles with an overall population of approximately 60,000.

The City was incorporated June, 2008 and officially became a city, October 1, 2008. This website is not an official website for "City of Menifee". Nor do we claim to be the official site.
